How your 5 fruits a day could be making you fat and tired

Current nutritional guidelines dictate the consumption of 5 fruits and vegetables a day. This is a basic and broad requirement considering the amount of vegetables and fruits available on the supermarket shelves today.

When walking through a supermarket you’ll notice the most popular fruits and vegetables are the ones loaded with sugar and the out casts have the least amount. For example Bananas and peas are popular. Looking at bananas the yellower the skin, the quicker they leave the shelf. When the skin turns from green to spotty yellow, the fruit is starting to break down into simple sugars (aka rotting). The simple sugars are useful before exercise, as it will cause an increase in blood sugar preventing low sugar levels or muscle atrophy, but during the day however, that excess sugar can cause a change in the environment in your blood, causing your cells to morph into moulds and yeasts (pleomorphism). These yeasts will absorb your energy and cause you to crave more sugar. (To find out how to get rid of yeast or mould visit www.alkaline-labs.com)

An unpopular fruit is something like a grapefruit, lower in sugar and packed full of alkaline minerals. Perfect to feed your cells and your blood acting as a buffer system. The difference in popularity between these fruits is their taste. Humans love salt and sugar, no wonder we crave our high sugar orange juices and bananas. We often hear that these sugars are ‘’natural’’ so wont cause a problem, but too much of any sugar will cause a major problem.

The importance of fruits and vegetables in the diet is huge; the guideline of 5 a day is a starting point but we should aim to have at least 5 vegetables per day, 1 or 2 fruits and plenty of leafy greens. If we increase the amount of leafy greens, green fruits and low starch vegetables in our diet, our energy levels will increase, body fat decrease and general health improve for the better. We need to be eating vegetables and leafy greens with every meal. The reasons for this are the veg and greens are packed with minerals, which will aid your body in protection by acting as buffers against acids in the diet. Chlorophyll, located in leafy greens and veg, will increase your haemoglobin level in the body helping with repair, increasing oxygen flow and circulation. The benefits for this are endless.

So the next time you pack your lunch or are raiding the supermarkets. Fill your body with lots of fresh greens and your body will start to change within weeks. Healthy bodies are created in the kitchen not in the gym.

The Secrets To A Flatter Stomach

The long awaited answer, to a question on everybody’s lips. It doesn’t matter how old or young one is, a washboard stomach is something always being craved. Trainer, nutritionist and health professions alike, across the nation claim to have the answer. The trouble is they are using the old fashioned approaches to burning fat.

Before we go on, those of you expecting a magic food, or one simple exercise to melt away fat will be disappointed, unfortunately doesn’t exist. We knew this from the start, but there is always that glimmer of hope. But it isn’t as hard as we think. We don’t need to hit the treadmill, 24 hours a day, we need to pay more attention to what we consume.

The amounts of exercise we do won’t counter a horrific diet and the trouble is, what we deem to be a ‘healthy diet’ really isn’t. If we understand how our body retains fat, then we can reverse the fat storage process and rid ourselves of the flat tyre.

The old school science where eating less calories than you burn will cause fat loss is way off the mark. We have to take into account the magic word- Metabolism (Base Metabolic Rate-BMR). If you cut your calories below your body’s basic minimum requirement, your body won’t allow access to fat. It hits ‘’starvation’’ mode and stops functioning. The first thing we need to do is find out our BMR (can be calculated online). The average in men tends to be around 2000 and women around 1500. This is the minimum amount of calories we need to consume in a 24 hour period of rest. How active you are during that day will determine how many extra calories you burn (Extra expenditure).

This is the ancient way of thinking. If we combine this with the new science we start to see fantastic results, 1-2lbs of fat loss per day. The speed of weight loss is dictated by how alkaline your diet is and how clear your elimination channels are.

Now our body retains fat because of our diet. Not because we eat to many calories, but because we eat too many acidic calories such as dairy and processed food. Without getting into tedious Bio Chemistry; Acid, in terms of the pH scale, will vary from (pH0-pH6.9), Alkaline will vary between (pH7.1-pH14) and a Neutral pH is 7.

Your blood is designed to be at pH 7.365, so your body will do anything to maintain this. It may take calcium (Alkaline Mineral) from your bone, store the acid in your tissue (which equals excess body fat) it may even just expel the acid through your skin (acne). Now this acid comes from our diet. For example meat is extremely acidic, it’s also incredibly difficult for your body to break down, hence the current red meat-cancer issue. I’m not telling you to become a vegetarian, but if you want to achieve healthy weight loss you need to cut down on all meat intake. You can still achieve a 6 pack or fat loss using lean meats but you won’t be as healthy at the same time.

Now if you want to drop body fat, you need to allow your body to eliminate the acid from within your adipose tissues (fat tissue) before it causes major damage. It is in fact healthier for your body to store the acid in your fat tissues, then say in your brain tissue, but if it was my body, I wouldn’t want it anywhere. The trick is to increase the alkaline foods in your diet (leafy greens), your alkaline minerals such as Sodium Bicarbonate (which also helps acid reflux and indigestion when taken at meals) and clean your eliminatory channels.

Your eliminatory channels (P.U.R.E) are Perspiration (sweating), Urination, Respiration (you breathe out Co2) and Excretion. As we age, these channels block through poor diet, causing difficulty to burn fat we age. How will our body eliminate these acids? It doesn’t, so we store them in our body fat. Switching to an alkaline diet will start to clear some of these channels; a liquid alkaline diet for example will clear your intestines.

Now if we think back to exercise, when we do pound on the treadmill what builds up on our skin? Salty sweat. This is because our body is encapsulating acids in sodium bicarbonate or other salt, creating crystals and expelling them from our body. The less acidic food coming into our body- the less fat. Balance Alkaline food in, with eliminating Acid out.

To find out the condition of your body and the levels of acid there is an analysis you can do. It’s called Live and Dry blood analysis. It looks at the conditions of your blood and can determine where the acids are causing imbalances in your body, how long you would need to cleanse for and what parts need cleansing. From this diet plans are produced to rebalance the blood, remove the acid and intern remove the body fat. For more information about this visit www.alkaline-labs.com.

To summarise, we need to increase the alkaline minerals, food and water in our diet, clear our eliminatory channels and increase the amount of sweating we do. If we sweat with exercise as well as the sauna we can sculpt our body how we would like it to look.

Why haven’t I heard this before?

This is what everyone is thinking, as soon as the article about meat causing cancer hits the newsstand, or the importance of diet for preventing disease is in the double page spread of Mens Health. In fact why is everything that is taught the opposite? That lean meats are the way forward, that milk is good for you, that all protein is in meat and that cancer and heart disease come from genes.

Before this is answered we need to know how information is created. We also need to remember ‘’he who has the gold makes the rules’’. There are powerful, influential and enormously wealthy industries that stand to lose a lot of money if the vast majority of the public started to follow the alkaline lifestyle. Their financial health depends on controlling what the public knows about nutrition and health. Like any good business or entrepreneur these companies do anything to protect their profits and their shareholders. You might be inclined to think these large organisations or the governments pay scientist to ‘’cook the data’’, bribe government officials or conduct illegal activities. Many people love a sensational story. But these powers that maintain the status quo do not usually conduct illegal activities.

As far as I know, a few whistle blowers have released information and books about activity with huge amounts of research and evidence to back it up. This information has never reached a mainstream media source.

The problem is in fact much worse than this. The silent enemy that, when discovered, won’t create much of a stir. My research into the scientific community illustrates how the current system generates confusing and conflicting information. The science community is entwined with the government; the government is entwined with industry and industry with science community. It is impossible to distinguish between them.

With these industry’s entwined and the power of the media. Data can be miss read leading to the outcome, which will benefit these large bodies. For example I can increase your chance of winning the lottery by 50%. All you would need to do is buy 2 tickets.

We also under estimate the power of the media. This industry holds the key to how the public see information. The right marketing will make anything successful. If David Beckham were to say he only eats green beans, this is the key to his success, a large majority of people would follow, regardless of scientific evidence.

A combination of many factors is the reason the population is un-educated in the ways of health and diet. There is only one correct way to eat and stay healthy. The alkaline design of the body proves this. Alkalising foods and water maintain the homeostasis of the body. The more stories hitting the mainstream news papers about the damaging effects of red meat will start to back up this statement, books such as ‘’The China Study’’ written by T. Colin Campbell PhD are also imperative in showing the link between health and diet.

Until the obesity and cancer epidemics start to stir up attention for the importance of lifestyle over genes and for diet over drugs and medication. We will still continue to exist as a population, but not live as Homo sapiens but as a new strain of human.

‘’You will see, hear and read what we want you to. A world of puppets’’

Inflammation.

We should all know already what we need to do in this situation. The trouble is, unless were wearing our white lab coats with the badge of honor- ‘’Dr’’ we don’t feel we’re educated enough to deal with the issue.

If you burn your hand you run it under a cold tap, instinct tells you this. You don’t add heat to the burn.

So why are we adding heat!? If our body gets injured, we take a pain killer. The pain majestically disappears… (hooorraaay!) but now we’re damaging the area more by ignoring our bodies warning signals?

If we suffer from Inflammation of an organ, we go straight to the anti-inflammatory life vest. We think this is the soothing water, but what caused the inflammation? That’s a question!? What germ has entered my body!?

With a burn we know it’s the heat. With an organ what’s the cause? Is it diet!? Couldn’t possibly be diet the litres of coke? Or Jugs of coffee? Or tea? Not at all my human shield can deal with poison after poison. Acid after acid. After all if it was diet, well, that would mean its my fault? Can’t possibly be my fault it has to be a foreign pollutant.

Would battery acid burn your skin? Its going to do the same to the inside of your body. The foods we’re consuming contain similar acids. Were suppressing the inflammation for a short period of time with a dose of madness, but if we keep burning and destroying the inside of our body with more and more processed and acidic foods, the inflammation will get worse; your body will close down that area and we get sick. We may be lucky and only get an infection, but some of us get it really bad, maybe a cancer.

Instead of suppressing a symptom why don’t we look to the cause of the issue, why don’t we ask WHY!? If you go to the Dr with a cold and he tells you to take 5 pills, 5 times a day, we do it, we trust our Dr. To clear up an issue I get asked a lot, I have nothing against Doctors. The family Dr is the least selfish person you’ll ever meet, donating their life to helping others. But why don’t we ask a few more questions? Were always worried about being ripped off with material goods, but what about you health?

If we did, the ‘treatment’ would be completely different. Inflammation is your body reacting to acid. What ever form its being expressed in, its due to acid. Change our diet, allow our body to eliminate this acid and what happens to the inflammation? It fixes itself. Its that simple, take away the heat, the fire goes out.

Affordable health that everyone can benefit from. Curing our own ailments without more medication, without costing more money to the government, without the side effects, bliss. If we just had a little more trust in our selves, and asked a few simple questions. Alkalise and Energise your body and you will see difference and feel the difference in weeks.
